Bishop Commends New University Laboratory During Pastoral Visit

The Bishop’s pastoral visit to our college was highlighted by a special tour of the newly established university laboratory, a state of the art facility designed to support the growing science programs. Accompanied by members of the administration and faculty, the Bishop carefully inspected the modern equipment and spacious work areas, taking keen interest in the progress the institution is making toward enhancing science education.

During the tour, the Bishop commended the University for its Commitment to academic excellence and practical learning. He noted that the new laboratory is not only a significant investment in infrastructure but also a powerful tool for equipping students with hands-on skills that are essential in today’s world. “This is a great step forward in shaping future scientists and professionals,” he remarked, encouraging staff and students to make the best use of the facility.

University leaders expressed their gratitude for the Bishop’s support and prayers, emphasizing that the laboratory will serve as a hub for innovation, research, and training in various science courses. Students who attended the visit shared their excitement about the opportunities the new facility will bring, from improved experiments to enhanced career preparation.

The Bishop’s visit concluded with a prayer of blessing over the laboratory, dedicating it to the service of both God and humanity.

Bishop’s Pastoral Visit Strengthens Faith at Our University College

Our college was honored to receive the Rt. Rev. Gaddie Akanjuna the Bishop of Diocese of Kigezi who doubles as our chairperson governing council on a special pastoral visit that brought encouragement, inspiration, and renewed spiritual energy to the entire community. The visit was marked by warmth and fellowship as students, staff, and friends of the institution gathered to welcome their shepherd and listen to his message of faith.

Preaching from Hebrews 12:2, the Bishop urged everyone to “fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.” He reminded the congregation that in the midst of life’s challenges, Christ remains the ultimate example of endurance and victory. His words called the community to remain steadfast, drawing strength from Jesus who overcame the cross and now reigns in glory.

The Bishop’s presence brought a sense of unity and joy as he shared moments of prayer, encouragement, and counsel with different groups across the campus. Many students expressed how the message touched their hearts, inspiring them to remain focused on their academic goals while holding firmly to their spiritual walk.

The college administration led by Dr. Allyce Kyobutungi Tumwesigye appreciated the Bishop’s visit, noting that his guidance serves as a powerful reminder of the institution’s Christian foundation and mission. As the day concluded, staff and students alike left with renewed hope, encouraged to run their race of faith with perseverance and to keep their eyes fixed on Christ in all they do.
